In this article, we’ll review the Peg Perego Booklet 50 stroller, which is one of the top selling Peg Perego strollers available on the market. As a mom of four kids, I’ve had a lot of experience with several different brands and types of strollers over many years, and I’ve personally used the Peg Perego Booklet 50 for over a year.

We will outline key features and characteristics of the Booklet 50 that set it apart from other stroller options. I’ll also share my own opinions and personal experience to add some real-life flavor. Ultimately, this article will help parents who are researching which stroller might be the best option for their family make an informed decision.

peg perego Booklet 50 stroller overview

Here are some of the key features of the Peg Perego Booklet 50 stroller:

  • Compact and Foldable: the Booklet 50’s one-handed fold and compact storage makes it a convenient choice for families on the go. It is easy to fold and unfold, even with my hands full. I put this stroller to the test yet again recently when my family flew to visit family over the holidays—there were a few times I was holding my baby in one arm while lifting my Booklet 50 from the car and unfolding it with the other hand. Having wrestled with other heavier models of strollers in the past, I truly appreciate this feature of the Booklet 50. I also like how it stands up on its wheels when folded, which is how we always store it in our garage when not in use.

  • Travel System Compatible: the Booklet 50 is easy to use along with the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 Infant Car Seat as a full travel system, allowing for seamlessly and conveniently moving your baby from the car to the stroller and back again without disrupting nap time. I’ve used the Primo Viaggio 4-35 car seat and bases with all 4 of my kids, and my appreciation for the quality and durability of that car seat is part of what led me to later purchase the Booklet 50. They work great together!

  • Ease of Maneuverability: the Booklet 50 stroller has a small turning radius and smooth handling, allowing it to navigate easily through tight spaces. This was also put to the test on our family trip, which involved a lot of one-handed strolling while holding one of my other kids’ hands or while pushing luggage with the other. The Booklet 50 is easy to push and turn with one hand.

  • Comfortable Ride: with an adjustable recline, extendable canopy, and plush padding, your little one can enjoy a comfortable and cozy ride. While my baby is clearly comfortable while in our Booklet 50, I also appreciate how smooth it is for me to push. Many compact strollers require a trade-off in maneuverability or smoothness of ride, but the Booklet 50 is great even for longer walks and on slightly uneven path.

  • Elegant Design: the modern lines and sleek design make this stroller a great option for those who don’t want to sacrifice style for performance. Put another way, this stroller just looks good. It doesn’t scream frumpy mom—it is stylish and sleek.

Sometimes seeing is believing. Here is a short clip of me folding and unfolding the Peg Perego Booklet 50 stroller. It also shows me removing the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 Infant Car Seat, which can be simply lifted out of the Booklet 50 before folding it up.

peg perego stroller final thoughts

The Booklet 50 has been an MVP for our family, and I would recommend it for any family looking for convenience, style, and performance. It can be purchased alone as a stroller or as a part of the travel system along with a Peg Perego car seat - specifically the Primo Viaggio 4-35 Infant Car Seat & Car Seat Base. As a user of Peg Perego car seats and strollers for over 8 years now, I can personally attest to the quality and durability of all the products I’ve used from this brand.

That being said, I would not recommend the Booklet 50 stroller to someone who wants to plan ahead for a potential second child and wants a double or tandem stroller—there are other Peg Perego stroller options that are more flexible for accommodating more than one child in a variety of different configurations and positions. Two examples are the Peg Perego Ypsi Stroller and the Peg Perego Duette Piroet stroller. (If you want a full comparison review of multiple models of Peg Perego strollers, check out my other article here.) For me personally, I already had a single and double jogging stroller as well as single and double umbrella strollers in my “fleet”—so for our family, the Booklet 50 is a perfect high-performance yet incredibly compact and easy to use single stroller that is now my go-to for everyday use and my go-to for travel. I also use it for jogging while traveling, though I do prefer my Bob Revolution Flex stroller when I’m jogging around home.

Overall, I would not hesitate to purchase a Peg Perego stroller again. Happy strolling for you and your little one!
